TILETOP02

Mural Detail.
"Botanical" series. Nine, 4.25" hand painted Maiolica tile. This design was inspired by one 6" tile, an example of Levy LaRocque's interpretive approach in creating custom work. Pattern repetition, colors and overall scale are the practical considerations when designing wall tile, but it's listening and responding to what the client wants the tile to "feel" like that creates delight and the most personal outcome. This is the goal and what Levy LaRocque strives for.

Fireplace 54”h x 60”w. This one-of-a-kind tile fireplace facing was created as the focal point in a family room. This customer requested bold graphics and bright colors to reflect a playful atmosphere for her urban home.

Corner Cabinet
This cherry CORNER cabinet was designed to display a ceramic collection. Concealed flexi lighting, "shutter" inspired fluting detail, adjustable shelves and an "arts and crafts movement" inspired 3" x 6" tile inlay add unique detail and charm. Also available as a 26" w x 63.5 h x 14" d standard, THREE SIDED cabinet with two bottom doors for storage and continuous 3" x 6" tile bordering all three sides

Dining Table  42”w x 96”l x 30” h

This Custom Furniture was commissioned to compliment a new dining room addition. Responding to the customers’ request that both pieces be made from redish toned cherry, special emphasis was placed on selecting the hardwood. This cherry hutch features restoration glass panel doors, concealed halogen lighting, custom tile inlay and traditional joinery. By choosing a custom tiled work surface, a durable and versatile serving area was created. This cherry dining table, suitable for ten, features two removable leaves, a durable hand-rubbed urethane finish and solid, tapered legs. This bold and handsome furniture was designed and built with integrity to endure years of everyday use.

Custom Wall Cabinet 22”w x 29”h x 7”d
Cherry wall cabinet made custom to order, designed by David and Marcia to suit the clients needs.

Coffee Table 15”w x 60” l x 15”h. This Shaker inspired wood and tile piece was requested by a customer interested in a casual and sturdy design. In this commission, it was important that milkpainted wood samples be provided to satisfy the customers’ need to compliment the rooms “blue” color scheme.
